Every business owner faces this problem: How do you get customers to remember you?

If customers forget about you, they will not buy from you, and revenue will tank. So as a business owner, one of your primary function, is to ensure that customers think about you when they are looking for some products and services. This is easier said than done.

Think about the time when you wanted to buy a car. Which make, model and brand come to your mind first? Assuming that budget is not a concern, which brand would you pick?

Customers

Customers

See? You already know the answer. How did that happen? Obviously, the brand didn’t slip into your consciousness by accident. You must have come across that particular brand multiple times and something about that brand must have stuck. Perhaps you have driven a car with the same brand previously and you liked it. Or perhaps it’s a symbol of success that you have so often come across on TV commercials and business magazines. If it’s a brand that you trust and would buy from, then from the perspective of the car maker, that’s successful marketing.

Doing business on the Internet is not that much different from the example above. You WANT your customers to remember you, and trust you enough to buy repeatedly from you. How do you achieve that?

First thing you need to do, is to ensure that customers can FIND you. You achieve that by performing SEO and making sure that your website come up on top whenever a potential customer searches for some product or service that you are offering.

Search Engine Optimization is the gateway to everything else. Get it right, and you have a much better chance of being successful online. But SEO is only the first step towards success. It certainly wouldn’t GUARANTEE success. So what else is needed to be successful online?

1) Results.

When you get traffic to your website, these visitors will assess your Company. Many thoughts will come to their mind. “Is the Company trustworthy?”, “Should I do business with this Company?”, “What sort of results can I expect?” and most importantly – “Can this Company deliver?

So do everything you can, to SHOW that you can deliver results. This can be a demo, some testimonials from high profile clients, or a video. You see, the branding process has started the moment the visitor opens up your website.

2) Sense of identity.

Would you do business with someone you don’t know? A complete stranger walks up to you and asks you for $1,000 in exchange for some product or service. Would you part with your hard earned money? Quite unlikely. But would you do business with a trusted friend, or at least someone you already know? The chances are higher. Why is that?

That is because you already have a good sense of who this person is. This is the reason why some people spend YEARS of their lives going around giving talks and organizing book tours. Others get a sense of who they are, and as a result, they are more likely to want to do business with them.

On the Internet, you are trying to achieve the same goal with your business. Others MUST get a better sense of what your Company is all about. Of course, you can setup a simple ABOUT US page and simply opt to tell others about what you do and how your Company operates. But don’t just stop there. Make sure your Company values are reflected in everything that you do. One way to build up a strong brand is to reflect the value of “Excellence”. How do you do that? By having Excellent customer service, pre and post sales support, excellent quality goods and services, etc.

Identity

Identity

3) Trust.

Naturally, when excellence is a core value of your organization, your customers will learn to trust you. Perhaps a new customer may spend $10 on a first visit. But he or she experiences EXCEPTIONAL service and gets the VIP treatment. This new customer will be more likely to come back and buy again, and again, and again…you get the idea. The very same customer may refer you to his contacts simply because you are doing such a good job.

Sometimes, small start-ups can rise to success very quickly simply because of the above – excellence and trust building. Remember, the first wave of customers may be just “seed” customers. Even if it’s just one customer, it is YOUR responsibility to treat him like a KING. Your reputable will start to spread (things happen faster online) and you are well on your way.

On the other hand, if you do something wrong, your business can go South very quickly. So what you can do, is to manage the trust level between you and your customers very carefully so as to protect the reputation of your business. If there is a problem, fix it quickly. Sometimes, even the best make mistakes. So if you happen to make a mistake, admit that a mistake has been made, then seek to quickly correct the problem. If you can do this, customers are more likely to stay with you despite the mistakes.

4) Repeated communication.

So you managed to build up trust between the Company and the customers, and you are getting repeat sales. That’s great. Now, you and the Company has to stand the test of TIME. Over time, if you do not make an effort to get in touch with your customers, they will forget about you. They will forget you regardless of how great your products are. Your competitors will come along and grab their attention with great offers and before you know it, you have lost a sizable chunk of your customers.

So how do you make sure customers remember what you do?

You can achieve this, through repeated communication.

This is nothing new. Traditionally, businesses have been doing that for ages. But traditional tools are somewhat limited. What do you have, before the age of the Internet, to communicate with customers?

  1. TV advertising.
  2. Print advertising.
  3. Snail mail.
  4. Telephone and fax.

Oh, and there is one more method that is quite unorthodox. And I’m going to call it Loud Speaker Marketing. You take a loud speaker, drive around in a pick-up and spread your marketing messages around. Think this is a joke? Maybe. It’s what some politicians in my country choose to do during every election. The loud speaker goes something like this, “Vote for [insert organization], vote for [Mr. so-and-so]“.

I don’t know if loud speaker marketing really works or not, but the message I want you to remember here is simple. If your customers don’t hear you or see you, they are going to forget you and that reduces the chances of them buying from you.

Today, in the age of the Internet, you have even more tools within your arsenal to get in touch with customers.

  1. Email marketing.
  2. Websites, blogs and forums.
  3. Press releases.
  4. Video marketing.
  5. Facebook and Twitter.
  6. Instant chat.

Have you been using any of these tools lately to get in touch with your customers? If not, perhaps it’s time to get started.

So, here is my version of reminding you that we are still in business – a link to our Products & Services page in Giant Font Size. See you around!

SEO PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Last week, you see how you can track your keywords with the keyword rank tracker.

The tool will check the positions of your keywords in Google, Yahoo, Bing, and generate reports for you.

But simply knowing the keyword rankings isn’t good enough.

I want the mobile SEO tool (PhoneSEO.Net) to offer more. Users should be able to do something with the information to boost their keyword rankings. That would make the mobile SEO tool truly mobile.

In the past, I’ve had clients asking if they can pay a fixed monthly amount and then use our link building services on a draw-down approach.

I’ve not had the time to come up with anything and to date, clients still have to visit each individual website to purchase credits – e.g. fastsubmitarticles.com to buy article distribution credits and epressdistribution.com to buy PR credits, etc.

Now, with the launch of the mobile SEO tool, I’m able to incorporate the TOP UP feature into the website. Here is how it works.

Clients can top up their accounts at PhoneSEO.Net by buying credits. Each credit will cost a dollar. So if your intention is to spend $500 a month on SEO, you would buy 500 credits.

You would then be able to pick from a list of SEO services.

The services that we’ve currently added:

  1. Web directory submissions
  2. Social bookmarking
  3. Sponsored WP themes
  4. Squidoo Lens / Hubpages Creation
  5. Press release writing & distribution
  6. Article writing & distribution
  7. Text link advertising

When picking SEO services, you can also schedule the order to be fulfilled at a later date.

That means you will be able to use the mobile tool as an SEO planner. For instance, you can schedule article distributions for week 1, press release for week 2 and so on.

I think a video to show you how everything works will be more apt at this point.

So here it is.

This is a high quality video, so if the vid is not clear enough for you, please click on the Full Screen button (bottom right corner of video)

Important note:

Notice that you get attractive discounts off our regular retail pricing as an active member of PhoneSEO.Net. If you utilize just a couple of our services, that will effectively offset your subscription fees on Phoneseo.net

If you like the tool, please sign up and give it a try. Your continued support will ensure that we continue to work hard to bring useful tools for the benefit of your businesses.

Hi!

As mentioned in an earlier post, we’re working on a mobile SEO service.

We’ve tested it with our own sites during the past couple of weeks, and we believe it’s now ready to be launched.

If you visit the home page of our mobile seo tool, you will notice instantly that the design looks really simple.

This is deliberate, as the website is also a mobile site. That means you can access the site using a mobile device and it’ll fit nicely into your browser.

So, what is this tool really about and what does it do?

This is a KEYWORD RANK TRACKING tool.

Very often, when we want to perform SEO on our sites, we tend to visit the search engines again and again to see if our sites appear in the search results.

This can be very time consuming.

With the keyword rank tracking tool, you no longer have to sieve through pages of search results again and again.

All you have to do is to enter a set of keywords with a domain name (we call this a Keyword Campaign), and let the tool track the rankings on all three major search engines – Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Here is what the site looks like when you have created some keyword campaigns:

In the screenshot, you see that I’ve created three keyword campaigns.

To see what’s happening to the rankings, I simply have to click on “Report”, and this is what I’ll see.

I immediately see that the keywords “text link brokers”, is moving between rank 16 and 18 in Google, and it’s consistently ranked 5th in Bing.

But wait. There is a blank column in Yahoo. What happened to my Yahoo ranking?

To see what is happening, you can drill down by clicking on “View” in the Details column.

The detailed report (available in static HTML) will show you the rankings in Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

I scrolled to the Yahoo Rankings and this is what I see.

Can you spot my website in the screenshot? It’s highlighted in Pink. If it’s an exact match with the domain name, it’ll be highlighted in green.

From the report, I see that my website is actually ranked on Page 2 of Yahoo (ranked 12th) but for some unknown reason, my FAQ page is ranked instead of my main domain. That’s alright because I know that potential customers can still find my site in the search results through Yahoo.

Let’s take a look at another keyword campaign – keywords: “article submission service”. Domain “www.fastsubmitarticles.com”

This keyword ranks 10 in Google (page 1), 22 in Yahoo (page 3) and 9 in Bing (page 1) consistently.

Obviously, there is still room for improvement.

Of course, to decide whether to perform further SEO, I’ll have to take the following into consideration.

1) Domain does not match keywords exactly.

2) This is an ultra-competitive keyword and the sites ranking above mine are all authority sites.

So I’ll have to consider whether it’s going to be very profitable, or just marginally profitable if I’m to spend further resources to achieve higher rankings.

You can do something similar by checking your stats and conversions.

This is a very simple but highly effective tool.

It allows you to become extremely focused in your SEO.

For the keywords that you are targeting, just add them to the tool, and let the tool track the rankings.

When you have achieved the rankings you want, just set the campaigns as Inactive, and add more keyword campaigns.

I’ve created three different plans for this service to suit the needs of different clients.

BASIC – the basic plan allows 10 active keyword campaigns. This is ideal for individuals and small business owners who wish to target 10 keywords in a given month.

PRO – the pro plan allows tracking of up to 30 keyword campaigns. This is for more aggressive marketers or business owners with multiple websites. You have more resources to target more keywords, so you can have up to 30 active campaigns on this plan.

Enterprise – the enterprise plan is for businesses or corporations (e.g. ecommerce sites) with multiple keywords to target. This plan allows you to setup 50 active keyword campaigns.

Up to this point, I’ve mentioned nothing about pricing.

How much do you think this tool is worth?

Can you become more focused and therefore more productive with it?

Will higher productivity lead to increased profits?

Surely, you already know these answers.

So, how much do you think you’re willing to pay in order to be able to use this tool?

How about just $5 for the first month as a trial, and then $20 per month thereafter?

That’s right – you can try out the mobile keyword rank tracking tool for just $5.

After a month, if you don’t like it, you can always cancel it.

I’ve considered offering a free trial, but I don’t want to attract freebie seekers.

$5 is a very small amount and for those who are serious about improving their keyword rankings, it’s a negligible amount to pay.

Now I can work on my SEO whenever I’m on the move.

Yippee!

Hi,

I haven’t sent out anything during the Christmas holidays, and here is the reason why I’m so quiet – MOBILE SEO.

Yes, we’re taking your SEO campaigns mobile with a Keyword Rank Tracking Tool.

What this tool does is that it helps you track the rankings of your keywords without you having to sieve through pages and pages of search results to find your sites.

The tool will scan the first 4 pages (anything more than the first 4 pages isn’t worth tracking since those keywords are probably not getting any traffic) of all 3 major search engines (Google, Yahoo and Bing) for your sites and create a report on a regular basis.

You may then login to your account and check your keyword rankings at any time and view the reports.

Here is what you see when you login.

You can see the active keyword campaigns that you’ve created.

Once these campaigns are created, there is nothing else you need to do…except log in every now and then to check the rankings.

To see rankings, click on View Report, and here is what you see.

You’ll immediately be able to see the search rankings for the past view days.

I’m currently testing the tool to make sure that everything works well. Know what’s the best thing about this tool?

I can now track my keywords at any time with my mobile device as long as I have access to the Internet.

See those keyword campaigns in the screenshot? I created a couple of them during commercials while I was watching tv – something I wouldn’t have done with my Sony Tablet and this Keyword Tracking tool.

Then I let the service runs on it’s own and track the rankings. Every couple of days of so, I log in to see the results.

If the rankings are not ideal, I then perform more SEO on those keywords.

If the rankings are great, and I feel that it’s no longer profitable to perform more SEO, I set them as Inactive and simply add more keywords to the system.

I hope the screen shots that I’ve posted above can be used as proof for two things.

1) That I’m not sleeping during Christmas and have forgotten you.

2) That you now cannot use “I don’t know my keyword rankings, so I didn’t do anything” as an excuse for not improving your rankings.

3) That you now have a great ally to help you with your SEO even when you are on the move. – Higher productivity => Higher profits.

Over the next few days, I’ll continue testing the tool and while I’m at it, I’ll also ponder over the pricing for it.

Can you see the value of this tool?

What would be the pricing?

I’ll leave out the details for now and announce the pricing during the launch, which I believe should happen after the New Year holidays.

So here’s wishing you a happy belated Christmas, and a very Happy New Year.

Good news!

We have completed the mobile versions for two of our services:

1) Article distribution service and

2) Press release distribution.com

What you can do with the mobile versions:

1) Check article / PR status – e.g. pending, approved, distributed.

2) Buy distribution credits, check Credits and view invoices.

3) Send article / PR writing requests.

In other words, you no longer need to be sitting behind a desktop computer to perform SEO on your website.

With a 3G mobile phone, you can connect to our site, buy credits, send us writing requests, and let us do all the work on your behalf!

How to access the mobile websites.

There are no apps to download, and nothing to install.

To access the mobile sites, simply fire up your mobile browser, and point the URL to the homepage.

For instance, if you want to visit fastsubmitarticles.com mobile site, just go to http://www.fastsubmitarticles.com with your mobile phone, and the mobile version will automatically be loaded.

Of course, you’ll need a valid user name and password to login to the site.

Existing customers can login immediately to the mobile and check their Credits.

New customers will have to make a first purchase to have an account created.

Here is a screenshot of how the mobile site looks when you are logged in.

Hope the mobile site will improve your productivity and help you increase profits.

I get excited when I think of the opportunities that you now have to perform SEO on your site.

e.g.

1) While driving and on the move.

2) While waiting for someone.

3) While doing “business” in the restroom (no class, I know. But hey, it’s true)

4) While waiting for food to arrive in the restaurant.

5) While taking public transport.

6) While listening to a boring friend (just kidding).

Use it, and whether you like it or not, let me know (Form below).

Oh and one more thing.

We have just completed the first batch of satellite sites and have received encouraging feedback.

Therefore, we’d like to extend the Free Web Directory Submissions (worth $79) to just TWO MORE satellite sites.

Just two more sites, and then the deal is off.

Satellite websites can help increase web traffic to your main website and this can lead to increased sales and revenues. First, for the benefit of those who have not heard about satellite sites, let me explain briefly.

What are satellite websites?

Satellite sites are not new. They have been used by Internet Marketers to increase traffic using SEO. Here is how it works.

You have a main website that is generating sales for you. If you have been performing SEO diligently, your main site should be receiving a steady stream of free traffic. Your site should be ranking for numerous keywords, and a handful of these keywords bring in 90% of the traffic.

Unfortunately, these keywords do not occupy the first three positions in the search engines. They are, perhaps, at the bottom of the first page…or they may even occupy positions on the second/third page of the search results.

This is happening because of various reasons – on-site SEO not done, off-site SEO not focused, keywords not chosen correctly, keywords not in URL, etc.

This situation, of course, is not ideal because we all know that the top 3 spots receive the bulk of the traffic from targeted searches.

So what do we do?

We setup satellite sites for these handful of keywords. These are sites with their own domain and the primary goal is to get them to rank top in the search engines.

When you have satellite sites, SEO can be a lot more focused.

That is,

  • You can choose a keyword rich domain name.
  • You can perform on-site SEO.
  • You can build back links to these sites to improve rankings.

You can do all the above WITHOUT affecting the current rankings of your main site.

What then, are the key benefits of having satellite websites?

The benefits of satellite sites.

  1. You have a better chance of getting higher rankings in the search engines since SEO is more focused.
  2. You can funnel traffic back to your main website.
  3. You can add links back to your main site to increase the current rankings of your keywords.
  4. If you have multiple sites, you don’t have to worry about algorithm update s. One site tanking doesn’t mean you lose all your traffic.
  5. Of course, increased traffic will lead to increased sales, and that is what you are trying to achieve here.

Are there any downsides to having satellite sites?

The only downside is that it involves some time and money on your part to get the sites up and running.

So the question is, are satellite sites worth your time and investment?

Let’s do some quick math here.

Here is the cost of setting up a satellite website.

1) Domain name – $10

2) 5 original articles – 5 x $10 = $50

3) One custom template – $50

3) Hosting – $5 a month ($60 a year)

That’s hard cost of $170 to setup 1 satellite site.

If you have picked your keywords wisely, your satellite site should receive traffic from the third month onwards.

After that, it’s a constant stream of steady traffic that you can funnel back to your main site.

Let’s assume a conservative estimate of just 50 unique visitors a day for one satellite site (one keyword).

That’s very achievable.

In a month, that’s 1500 unique visitors.

If you are to pay for that traffic and you are paying just 5 cents per visitor, that will cost you $75 per month.

But since you are getting organic search traffic, you get all 1500 web visitors for FREE.

Now tell me, is it worth your time and effort to setup satellite sites?

You bet it is.

And of course, in order to get the results you are looking for, you must perform on-site and off-site SEO on these sites.

Once on-site SEO is done, you don’t have to worry about it any more.

For off-site SEO, you will have to build links to improve rankings for these sites regularly.

Say you put in $50 per month just for link building.

Inclusive of hosting, you are spending a total of $55 per month on the satellite site. And you are receiving $75 worth of free traffic every month.

Again, let me remind you that I’m using very conservative numbers in this example, and we are still coming up in the green.

Imagine getting traffic from the United States or Europe, where clicks can easily cost $0.20 or more.

That means you are getting $300 worth of clicks just by maintaining a satellite site with $55 a month!

What if you choose a keyword phrase that is more popular and your satellite site receives 100 uniques a day? (Still very achievable.)

You would be getting $600 worth of clicks.

For sure, IT’S WORTH THE TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT.

As you probably already know, I do provide hosting services for my clients.

To help you get started, I have worked out a very special deal for you.

I call it…

EASY SATELLITE SITES

…because that is what it is.

Me and my team will do 99% of the work for you at a very reasonable price.

We will,

  1. Register a keyword rich domain name for you.
  2. Write 5 original articles.
  3. Design a custom template for you.
  4. Install all basic plugins (include on-site SEO).
  5. Optimize the website for fast loading.
  6. Provide you with full Cpanel Hosting.

AND, to help you get started with off-site SEO, this deal includes our Web Directory Submissions Service (worth $79) for FREE (available only for first 3 0 sign-ups.)

In other words, you have your satellite site up and running with on-site AND off-site being taken care of right from the very beginning.

So what is the cost of this deal?

We have already calculated that to setup a satellite site, you should be prepared to pay a hard cost of $170.

But this cost doesn’t include on-site and off-site SEO. If you are to include SEO costs, you’ll most likely end up paying A LOT more than $170. (You know how expensive SEO can be.)

To make this a truly irresistible deal, I’ve decided to offer you the Easy Satellite Sites deal at a price of just $140 (includes cost of 1 domain name and one year Cpanel hosting).

Yes, this price includes the web directory service that we provide – we submit your brand new satellite website to 900+ web directories (worth $79).

Why is it that we’re able to offer this deal at such a low pricing?

For a few simple reasons.

1) We already offer hosting.

2) We are SEO Specialists, which put us in a very comfortable position to perform SEO on the site.

3) We hope that clients will continue to utilize our SEO services to boost the rankings of their satellite sites.

If you are interested, we will need to confirm with you two things – keyword phrase and domain name. So I’m not going to just put up a Paypal button and ask you to pay.

What I’ve done, is to setup a web form at the bottom of this post, so that you can get in touch with me.

We’ll discuss over email the preferred keywords and domain names and once we’ve done that, I’ll send you more info on how to proceed with payment.

Sounds good?

So tell me, what keyword phrases do you have in mind?

(Note: The free web directory submissions is only available for the first 3 0 CONFIRMED sign-ups. So please hurry! The normal deal for satellite sites DOES NOT include free web directory submissions.)

Update: Free web directory submissions have all been taken up.

News from the Yahoo Blog: Yahoo Siteexplorer is shutting down its services starting from November 21, 2011.

SiteExplorer has been a favorite back links checking tool for many webmasters.

With the merger of Yahoo and Bing, many of Yahoo services are migrating to the Bing platform.

This includes search engine algorithm and many other webmaster services.

Yahoo SiteExplorer is an affected service. Many users have reported that they are going to miss this useful tool.

Back links popularity can be checked with Yahoo SiteExplorer without any registration. The information is freely available.

Webmasters must now depend on Google Webmasters or Bing Webmasters to check the link popularity of their websites.

We have an article featured in Mike Filsaime’s MarketingDotCom Newsletter – November issue.

It’s called “How to Rank Quickly in Google”.

This is a print-edition newsletter. I’ve scanned it in and put it up for download here:

Download How to Rank Quickly in Google.

When we first launched our social bookmarking service last week, I immediately received an email from one of our active customers, stating that our social bookmarking service is too expensive.

He quoted a rather well known service, which costs $13 per month for 1000 submissions (as compared to ours at $69 for 100+ submissions).

I think this requires clarification.

When choosing social bookmarking services, there are two important elements that you need to consider – (1) number of submissions, and (2) number of approved bookmarks.

(1) Number of submissions.

The number of submissions does not equate the number of sites. In other words, a service can submit to only 30 sites. But they sell based on submissions.

So if they promise 1000 submissions, all those 1k submissions are going out to the same sites.

For this particular service that my customer quoted, they are submitting to only 50 social bookmarking sites.

(2) Number of approved bookmarks.

Secondly, submissions does not equate approved links. Social bookmarking sites are well known to be prone to errors – with captchas and whatnots.

So if a submission goes out to just 50 sites, and only 30 links gets approved, then you are essentially just acquiring 30 links per submission.

Even though they offer 1000 submissions, they are really just submitting your URLs to the same 30-ish domains over and over again.

Also, this competitor doesn’t create accounts for you. It’s a self-served service, which means that you have to register at all 50 sites and then submit the login info before you even get started.

So this customer is really comparing a self-served social bookmarking service, with a completely automated service.

Completed automated means we handle all the work for you. There is no need for you to do anything except to provide us with urls, keywords, and descriptions.

Our service features having your URLs approved on 100+ sites per submission.

That will spread your links across a wide range of IPs and domains, which can only be beneficial to your site’s search rankings.

If you haven’t already done so, you may wish to give our brand new social bookmarking service a try.

Google has an algorithm update on the 28th of Sept. and as usual, many Internet marketers and webmasters scurry to find out what went wrong with their sites.

Reason for doing so?

Their earnings plummeted.

During the past few days, I’ve been visiting Business forums and reading some of the comments that business owners have posted.

Since I specialize in SEO and article marketing, I’m particularly interested when someone has something to say about article marketing.

It appears that the future of article marketing doesn’t look all that bright.

Many are condemning article marketing, saying that sites that used to command a lot of authority like Ezinearticles, Goarticles and Buzzle are getting dropped left, right, center.

From this, the natural conclusion is that article marketing is dead. So let’s all stop publishing articles.

Think there is any truth is this?

Maybe.

But before I tell you what I think, I want to show you something.

Here is a screenshot of an article that I submitted to Ezinearticles in 2009

This screenshot shows the TYPICAL article that is considered successful. It brings in TARGETED impressions and traffic. You see that in some months, the traffic goes above 100 impressions per month, and on other months, the traffic dip to 80 or so impressions.

But you know what, THAT DOESN’T MATTER AT ALL.

The search engines will forever do their updates and your article rankings will continue bouncing up and down. I don’t care that much about the numbers because I know that with the sheer number of articles that I have out there, I will continue to receive LONG TERM TRAFFIC CUMULATIVELY. That is the goal of article marketing.

Sure, some articles will get dropped due to algorithm updates but I’m not at all affected by it.

Here is a traffic screen shot on one of my sites – the same site that I used the article above to promote.

This screenshot shows the traffic that I’m getting for this site for the entire year. It went past not one but TWO Google algorithm updates without encountering any problems. Not only is the site not penalized, traffic is actually growing!

How come?

Is it because I have some special powers and I managed to somehow cast a voodoo spell on Google to avoid being penalized?

I wish.

The truth is, all I did was to ensure that content is original, useful and unique on the site. I also made sure that I observe all on-site SEO fundamentals. And that’s about it. After that, I just go about building natural back links.

How difficult is that?

I’m sure you can do it too.

So how come there are people still running around telling others that article marketing is dead?

Then here I am, showing you screen shots of articles that are still receiving traffic from Google (and quietly enjoying the fruits).

That makes everything all the more confusing isn’t it?

Well, you can find out who is right on your own…once you had a little help to correct a small little perceptive mistake.

You see, when these people see that some articles and websites are dropped, they quickly perceived that ALL the articles and article directories are dropped.

So they say, article marketing is dead, SEO is dead, Ezinearticles is dead and so on.

Is that true? Are all articles dropped from the search indexed?

Well, some are indeed dropped due to the algo updates. But certainly not ALL.

Here, it must begin to dawn on you that the difference lies in these two words – “SOME” and “ALL“.

For sure, some articles dropping out of the search indexes is definitely not the same as all articles dropping off.

The algorithm updates are efforts by the search engines to improve the quality of their search indexes, and that will, in turn, make the search experience more pleasant for everyone.

So guess which type of articles are dropped? You don’t need me to tell you.

Articles that are scraped, not useful, duplicate with other domains, and of poor quality will be the first to go.

You know what, the search engines will continue to roll out these updates as the Internet landscape changes and search users behavior changes, but as long as you stick to publishing quality content that is useful to people, you have nothing to worry about.

This is important, so I better re-emphasize.

Publish content that is unique, original, and useful. In other words, only publish content that you know people NEED or WANT to read.

Got it?

Good.
